I'm interested in getting some house plants/flowers for my apartment and wanted to know what types are good. I like colorful plants.

It really depends on whether your apt. is sunny or dark.Plants need sunshine- -it's called photosenthesis,that's the way they eat-so they can grow big & strong. However there are plants that require little light- like mother-in-law tongue. Devils ivy (Pothos) is another one that does good almost anywhere. I suggest you get a plant book from the library also...

Rubber plant´s are easy to keep and look very nice , also if you like plants with flowers there are so many to choose from I have many plants at home I think my favorite at the moment is my Anthurium plant it´s leaves are red & shiny and almost in a heart shape it´s actually called the Tender Love Plant

Ivy- easy to take care of, just water...

they grow and are very pretty, but only green.
