all the co- writing credits you see associated with elvis was worked by his manager, tom parker...it was basically 'you want my boy to record yer song, give him a writin' credit"...that way...elvis got royalties which meant tom got a cut...yeah...it was sad...especially when ya consider that chuck berry and buddy holly actually compose the majority of their material

Elvis was the fifties version of N'Sync. He couldnt play guitar (even though he held one all the time), and didnt write his own songs. The only thing he could do was sing. He was marketed to death and they kept him 'cause he sold well.

No, he did co write 2 songs. He could play the piano very well!
