Anyone know how to make a star out of a beaded necklace?

You know those cheap necklaces that people like give out at parades and throw at you on mardi gras? Well does anyone know how to make those into like a star? I've seen it done, but could never figure out how to do it myself.

i do. u take 4 of the little beads and make a square with the beads and twist it at the end so it will stay. then u skip on bead and do it again. when u have 4 of the little boxes connected together u skip a bead and connect the bead that was before the 1st box u did to that bead and twist. then you make the last box and twist it. its kinda hard 2 explain.
