Criminals are cowards. Small businesses and 711's and others are usually not well protected; many workers are older or young people who cannot protect themselves.

Why would they risk getting their heads blown off by robbing a bank when they can just hop the counter and grab the cash register.

That's how cowards operate.

Because all criminals have the same mind set , they always follow a pattern and a routine therefore robbing the same type of locations . Its almost like an illness to some.

Banks have large volumes of money, so they are potentially high value targets despite the risk. Same with jewelry stores.

Convenience stores and liquor stores have less cash, but are generally more "convenient" in terms of location. They are also small stores, which limits the exposure. They are also often open late at night, when there is little foot traffic.

Criminals pick targets based on value or accessibility. Few other types of stores would combine the same level of limited exposure, long hours, and common placement.

You rob where the money is at!!!! Convenient stores and banks always have money! What else ya gonna rob?Barnes and Nobles? lol Thye have cash so maybe that would be a good place! lol Need to go to what's easiest and has the most amount of cash you can get out with quickly.Doesn't take a genius.They commit much more interesting,high profile ,big money crimes! lol

Someone robbed a family dollar I worked at a few years ago. I was there - and he told the supervisor as he tied her up that he was coming to get me.

I must have had a guardian angel that day - cause he had a gun and I never saw him.....
