depends on the soup. my husband will put cheese in any soup. i think that's kinda gross. but he's a grown man and can make his own soup choices.

I do like it in my potato soup, or french onion soup, but thats about it.

Absolutely ! Usually grated Parmesan-- but if it's French Onion -- mmm lots of melted --umm- well whatever white cheese is put on top--is is Swiss maybe?
