I also checked the ignition switch which is good. The car still won't start. What can be wrong ?

Try the Park/Neutral Switch

There are two powers one directly from the battery all the time, and the other from the ignition switch, through a fusible link to the solenoid. the fusible link will melt with too much amperage to save the wiring and the starter solenoid, just have to splice in a new fusible link about $4. They usually go bad if you have a short, or if the starter is getting old and draws too much current.

Is the Starter turning eng?

if it clicks you could have an engine locked up if it dont click when you hit the key check everything again also check for a voltage drop in the cables...
