Just a lil nervous, I had a partial molar pregnancy before, so I'm a lil scared about everything. Just need some help to ease my mind. Could anyone relate? Any other woman experience mild cramos in first trimester? If so, how long did it last?

With my first pregnancy, I carried a tampon around for 2 weeks because I felt like my period was about to start because of cramps. (Little did I know, I was pregnant!)

With my second, I got very crampy at 6 weeks and it lasted until I was 9 weeks.

No cramps with baby #3.

This pregnancy I had period like cramping from 5 - 9 weeks on and off. I didn't freak out about it like I had before, because I knew it was normal.

I know it's easy for someone to say "don't worry..." because you are going to do that for the rest of your pregnancy, so how about- 'try to relax, been there, felt that and everything was fine!'

:-)

Congrats on your new little one!!!

Well I know for the first 5 weeks before I knew I was pregnant, I thought I was getting my period. I had the normal pre-menstrual like cramping. I also had other cramping due to a UTI. I have found that cramping goes with pregnancy, Im always getting some new ache or pain. Cramping on the sides of your abdomen are normal because your ligaments are stretching, making room for baby. Cramping right above your pubic bone is normal too for same reason as well as your pelvic bone shifting. Mild cramping is normal.

The only time you need to be concerned and call OB right away is if the cramping is severe and/or you have any bleeding.

Good luck and congrats on the little one inside! :)

VERY normal. I had cramps starting at 5 weeks and they are still hanging around (though not as bad) at 11 weeks. They were so bad weeks 6-8 I swore something was wrong, but everything is fine. Your body is going though serious changes and your uterus is growing. My cramps felt just like period cramps and were in my lower back too.
I understand you being scared, I had a blighted ovum before and it can be devastating. Please know that the cramps are ok as long as you have no bleeding. Good Luck!

Cramping is normal. Some people call it stretching pains - although the uterus isn't actually doing much stretching at this stage.
Mega cramps which double you in two aren't normal but mild ones are nothing to worry about.
Good luck with the pregnancy

I'm 10 weeks pregnant and have been having mild cramps similar to period cramps for the whole thing. I asked a nurse and she told me that as long as the cramps were NO WORSE than period cramps and there was no bleeding, that it was probably fine. Its just your uterus stretching and getting ready to hold a growing baby for the next nine months. Of course, you shouldn't take my word for it, I would call your doctor anyway just to be sure! :)

When i first found out i was pregnant which was at about 2-4 weeks i started getting mild cramps in my lower stomach; kinda like your getting ready to get your period; and i still have it. Its nothing to worry about. I was told that it is only your tendents and muscles stretching. so just relax and let the slight discomfort come and go as it pleases. i'm sure we are going to continue to have it through our whole pregnancy! Good Luck and i hope this helps!

its okay, that is just your belly growing and that will happen through-out the pregnancy. you should be fine but if your mind dont ease then call your obgyn and ask her. the last thing any women needs is to stress this in the first trimester and i am talking from experience i have 3 kids, beautiful, healthy kids. just relax and enjoy your pregnancy.
