I want to build a dune buggy but since i dont have a donor volkswagen beetle i want to buy the separate engine, it says it is a complete motor but i dont know what other parts to make it the engine work. what are the neccessary parts to get to make it a working car engine and i also want it to be manual gear so i browsed the site but i dont know what the ratios mean for 1st,2nd, 3rd and fourth gears. can someone please tell me all the parts i need to get to make it work?

I'd look for a donopr car because by the time you get everything you're going to need it's going to cost you about the same anyway. The engine at the site you have listed is a bare engine; you're going to need intake and exhaust manifolds, carburetors, alternator, and a lot of other items just to get it to the running stage. The transmission will also need to be bought and of course, you'll also need a frame for the 'buggy, front suspension, steering, brakes and a lot of other items as well. Been there, done that. It's much cheaper to buy a used VW and work from that point.
