It depends on what it is, and what floor I dropped it on. I dropped part of an overeasy egg on the carpet once. I won't eat that, obviously, yuck. But like a pretzel or potato chip or something, if the floor is clean.

No way, my Dad passed in 05 and Mother had to move in with me. She has a cockier spaniel that leaves hair all over the place and it stinks to high heaven no matter how often bathed. I mop all day long with bleach in my water so I can't smell him. I won't use the 10 sec. rule around here. It hits the floor it goes to the disposal!

Yes . Fruit-nuts-etc are perfectly ok. Cooked foods dropped on the floor should be discarded.

Yup, but only if it drops on my home's floors. And if I dropped a piece of fruit, I'd run it under the tap.

no that is gross and the 5 second rule is stupid because once it touches the floor dirt germs gets all over it

5 second rule

Depends on what it is... a piece of bread, yes, I have a 5-second rule for it.
My dogs usually beat me to it, so I don't really have that much of a problem.
