The Euro thing is supposed to have kicked in so give the council a ring. Should cost nothing now. Otherwise it's £25 to a breaker's/crusher. Whichever way TELL Swansea, you don't want to get busted for a cube of metal.

Depends really on the worth of the vehicle, your storage space, and ambition. If it's something that isn't worth much, take it to the nearest car crushing place and see what you can get scrap prices. Ask their policy first, some places require that the battery be removed, the fuel tank removed, and the oil drained out.

If it has a good motor and transmission, you might want to pull and sell those or any other good parts before scrapping the rest of it.

You can also donate it, you won't make anything that way except a write off on next years taxes, but it won't cost you anything either. Make sure you notify the DMV using whatever form needed that you have donated it so it won't come back to haunt you.

Go onto "Ovalracingforums.co.uk" And put it on there for banger racing. Someone will want it. We need all the old cars we can get. If it's a good car (cav, Volvo, Sierra) they might even give you a little money for it. If you near ipswich then i'll come and collect it.

I guess this answer isn't going to be quite what you are after... but I dug a very large hole in my back garden and pushed my old convertible into it. When I sold the house the new owners dog started digging it up.... my solicitor suggested we should have charged him extra when he moaned.... ahhh, the good old days...

The local "recycling" center will pick it up. Be warned though. Some models of cars are so undesirable that they make you PAY THEM to haul it off.
