Yes I do believe in the power of prayer
But I still can't fully understand why some prayers are answered & some are not

People pray when they are faced with all sorts of bad situations. If things work out (which they often do), prayer (and God) gets the credit. If things don't work out (and they often don't), nobody says "my prayers didn't work".

When the twin towers came down, many of the people who made it out said that they felt the presence of God there, and that their prayers were answered. I wonder, what about the 3000 people who didn't make it out? How many of them were praying and maybe even felt the presence of God, but didn't make it out anyway? We don't get to hear their stories.

There were some well reported stories a few years back about a study that showed that prayers actually helped people in the hospital recover, whether they knew that they were being prayed for or not. What wasn't nearly as widely reported was that when people attempted to reproduce the results, they found no evidence that prayer helped in that situation.

No, I don't believe in the power of prayer. I think it is wishful thinking.

Yes I surely do. I pray every day and have seen the results. The man in my life is here today because of the many prayers said in his behalf when he was ill.
In my daily prayers I pray for his continued health and the well being of my grown children-- I don't see them too often as they live away from home, so I need to feel assured that the Lord is watching over them.

God answers in His own way and time. There are times when we need to have patience and prayers will be answered, even though sometimes it may be in a way you did not expect or might not understand.

Oh yes I certainly do believe in the power of prayer. I had the elders pray over me when I was ill and anoint me with oil. This prayer of faith is what started me back on the road to good health. I also believe that when 2 or more are gathered together in agreement with a prayer that it is stronger. Recently my sweetheart, myself and a young man named Gary who is battling leukemia agreed together in prayer for him to get well. I pray for many things like for my sweetheart to be protected and watched over by God along with family and friends. I also like to say the blessing as often as I can because I believe also in giving thanks to the Good Lord.

Yes and the simplest pray has been the most powerful.
My friend and I was in car been dragged by a huge truck
My friend and I just cried Jesus
And the truck drive pull up just before going over the edge
think he had a flat typre one second late and it would have been game over

Oh yes..Very much so.....
It can do miracles and I would like to add to this what a wise man had once said that most often we resort to prayer as our last option where as it should always be our FIRST initiative !!
