if Al Gore is the worlds role model for ecology the planet is doomed
At the end of Gores movie an inconvenient truth
when he said "are you ready to change the way you live "he wasn`t including himself as he doesn`t bother to practice what he preaches as offsets have no global impact
trading and purchasing carbon offsets is an emerging business and CSNnews is pursuing an investigative story into whether Gore or his company are making money from these offsets

we do not. yet carbon offsets are used to plant timber -- which help sequester greenhouse gasses, so a minimum of the offsets are more suitable positive than no longer something. And it truly is no longer a lot potential use it truly is the problem -- once you're generating your human being with image voltaic panels and wind, it would not particularly count number number how a lot you employ, you're literally not affecting something negatively by technique of doing so. it truly is the burning of fossil fuels it truly is the numerous issue. timber soak up the gasses generated by technique of doing so.... more suitable timber = more suitable sequestration. it isn't a "change" for burning a lot less fossil fuels, it only offsets a small volume of their use. procuring the offsets is more suitable positive than doing no longer something -- utilizing fewer fossil fuels is even more suitable positive -- doing both is more suitable positive yet. Use fewer fossil fuels if accessible and plant more suitable timber -- if all of us did that lets be more suitable positive off. i'm keen to wager that if we arise with a more suitable positive thanks to gasoline planes -- the "conservationist" you're panning will use them. And if the day ever comes even as our Presidents and previous Presidents and Vice Presidents do not desire a protection contingent everywhere they flow, i'm having a huge gamble they are going to no longer desire the massive vehicles any more suitable to boot. that is my question: "even as are the 'conservatives' going to stop making fool statements about 'the liberals' and understand we are no longer some amorphous mass with a unmarried ideas?" affirming "the liberals" is not any more suitable lifelike than lumping all "conservatives" in with the tea party those who're out yelling and protesting, yet in case you ask them particular questions about what they are protesting, they have easily no theory.....

Al Gore is a crock! Global warming is real but not man made. Here is the questions all environmentalists must ask themselves: What happened to the ice age? Were there any cars around then??? If man suddenly disappeared the earth would still be warming up......so deal with it!!

So friggin' what??!? In other words, Al is blazing the trail by creating companies that allow trading in carbon credits, because it's good for the environment! Some scandal...

Using capitalism to save the earth! Sounds like a darn good idea to me. Go Al!!!!!

It certainly seems highly questionable, doesn't it. Also, if you look at the company, you'll see that it doesn't even do anything "green," but invests in other companies...many of which don't have anything to do with saving the environment. The whole thing has SCAM written all over it.
