If you've seen the ending cut of the game it says quite obviously that the war isn't over which leaves the possiblity of a sequal probable.
However i wouldn't bet on a sequal till 2008. 2007 is way to soon since the game came out in late 2006. Plus Halo 3 is coming out at the end of 2007, I'd doubt they'd want to compete with that kind of competition. Everything I've read says there will be but the developers are tied up on other projects at the moment. But certainly plan to continue the game to atleast 3 or more. We'll see.

The end of the game clearly defines that there is indeed going to be a sequal. Although other games have had the same type of ending only to not be able to make a sequal due to money problems. Fortunantly for Gears, it's the fastest selling 360 game ever at this point. Cliffy B. has stated that he plans on a trilogy and he has CONFIRMED at least a sequal. Dates are very vague at this point but I'm hoping for '08. Gamertag's floackle if you ever want to play.

I've heard that there is going to be a sequal and a prequal (the thing where it shows what happened before) but that's just things I've heard.
I read that nothings official. But I'd put money on, ya there's gonna be another Gears of War

Oh!Gears of War is mad hot you should get it I'm telling u the graphics are amazing

there is going to be a GOW2, according to this guy i played with when the game bearly came out i think his gamer tag is elkjaer10k, he is the top ranked player and they dont really let him play online that much cause he would be rapping on everyone, he is helping cliffy b desing GOW2. -dont try to send him a game invite cause he'll just deny it, trust me.
