no! i never do that, im too afraid that somebody is going to think that i am stealing it or something

Once, recently, I opened up a small bottle of Aquafina water, from the cooler while in a checkout line. I was coughing so hard after eating a free sample of lemon pound cake in the bakery/deli area of the local grocery store.The cake was dry & I kept coughing, so the cashier suggested that I take a bottle & drink it. It helped wash the piece of cake down. No more cake samples for me!!!
P.S. I had the money to pay for the water but the cashier paid for it out of her own pocket. :)

Only the cokes at the front in the coolers. And I make sure the bottle gets on the conveyor with the groceries. I've seen people pick up a package of grapes and eat half of them before they get to the counter, then put it down just before they get up to check out. Don't care who ya are, that's stealing. Don't like it. I've been ugly enough to say, Ooooh, you forgot those GRAPES YOU ATE HALF OF! to someone before.

Yeah I eat like the grapes etc.. hehe... also if I want to buy something nongrocery and not sure what comes in the package I will open it and if I want it put it back and get another one.. same thing for deodorant and shampoo etc!!!

I've had to open cookies before to get my kids to shut up.
It was that, or subject everyone else in the store to their screaming. Or spank them in the store.. which would have been equally traumatic.

All the time I get chocolate milk and drink it while I am shopping and just give them the empty bottle to ring up when I get to the check out.....

Once I had to open a box of tissues as I needed one
many years ago when my kid was only a toddler on rare occasion we had to open a soft drink pop-up
