I don't know a specific type of cross stitch book, but i have one at home. i would suggest a coloured book at it shows more detail to the cross stitch itself. i hope my advice helped you with your cross stitch.
also try not to buy a difficult one as they take hours...i know!

If you know of "The Works, book shop", they have a good selection and are quite cheap. I bought my sister one from there for Christmas.
