I know it could be risky naming the place in public here if it exists but I'll take that chance. I can no longer tolerate the filthy people of Sydney.

Since you are ,presumably an Aussie,or a British subject I would suggest that you look at relocating to a equisite ,clean, friendly & yes, English speaking place called Norfolk Island, the Norfolk Islanders are warm, friendly & happy ,the Island is clean, livable & has a most temperate climate,it is enjoying a new status as a great vacation get away & if you are in the hospitality/food service trade or teaching/medical fields, you should have no problem .Australia oversees as a protectrate, but the Island is pretty much self governing & the Islanders are proud of their own autonomy. Take a quick trip, not far from Sydney by air & reasonable fares, look it over it just might fill your bill of fare.

I think that the requirement that "everyone" be friendly will add quite a challenge to such a search since anywhere you go, you're going to find people that are friendly and some that aren't....

Anyway, in my experience so far, anyplace where "everyone" is friendly isn't likely natural or sincere.... Some are hiding what they really feel or think about you because they think themselves superior and enjoy the smugness of laughing at you later, some are being friendly so you'll let them in on all of your dirty laundry to gossip about you, and some must be on some really good drugs. LOL

Also, when you're a tourist, pretty much everyone is friendly to you, but you don't really know what a place and the people are like until you've stayed a few months and made your way around hither and yon. :) Good luck finding your Shangri-La.

Try Queenstown, New Zealand. It's a beautiful city. You get seasons. You're not far from some amazing beaches. The people are friendly beyond belief (though if you are from Oz it might take a week or two for them to warm up to you). The air is clean and fresh. I could go on and on. I would suggest you check it out for yourself before making the big move.

The Philippines, Ireland and Thailand are your best bet. English is less prevalent in Thailand, but who cares.

Forget snobby Britian, Hollywood warped United States and Musk-Ox eating Canada.

People in Ireland are no longer friendly, nosey maybe. The weather is crap, the natives havent the brains to figure out how to drive a car properly, it`s a rip off banana republic, racist natives, they don`t know what broadband is, they only eat "spuds" day and night, they are drunks, living on money borrowed from the Germans, they buy shacks of houses for crazy high prices, very narrow minded, they play stupid games called hurling and gaelic football where they run around like animals after one another...........and now onto the men......lol. It`s the swamp of Europe.

A place where everybody is friendly doesn't exist, but the Philippines is pretty close, not in Manila but smaller towns.

Ireland - not in a big city, but small towns. Not perfect, but friendliest places I've ever seen.
