I ask this because we have just bought a home and there is a baby on the way. He knows now that I have caught him. I have no problems buying him out. But after this I feel as though I shouldnt have too. This is not fair to me and the kids. Please dont take this wrong I am not after money or wish to be a total boob by not giving him something after all he did put money into this too. I just want to protect myself and the kids. I have been looking on the net but am having a real hard time finding Canadian laws on how and what I need to present to court.

If you have the means to just buy him out.. then do so. Why drag something into a long battle if not necessary? Just do it, get it over with , and move on. Why put your kids through unnecessary crap? They will be going through enough. If you have the means, just do it. Lots of us do not have the means to do that. Just think of the kids... and what they think.

If your not married good luck. You have little recourse as a girlfriend. You will get some child support but thats about it.
