What are the arguments for and against whaling? I can't find many...Cheers?

I am doing a report on whaling, and I need to find the arguments for and against whaling. It would be really helpful if you could answer before Wednesday... thanx

AGAINST:
- people like whales and it is cruel to take their life away
- steady decrease in population could result in extinction

FOR:
- I guess people in some countries like Japan or Norway eat whale meat
- whale oil is sometimes useful in soap and stuff like that
