Animal Dyson vacuum...worth the $$$??

I added this to my wedding registry b/c I hear it's good (we have 2 hairy cats), but am taken back by how much $$ it costs....$499 at bed bath beyond. Hopefully they will accept the 20% coupon for it!?!

It's an awesome cleaner. My daughter has one but I just got another brand a coulple of years ago so it has to wear out a bit before I can rationalize getting another new one but it will be the Dyson Animal. I get it out and play with it when I'm over there. Now, if mine would just break down!!!!
