Do you agree with me that this is an insulting quote against teachers!!

"Those are can, do. Those who can't, teach."

I'm offended by this quote because I want to be a teacher! Teachers are very important! How do think doctors become doctors? and lawyers become lawyers? BECAUSE SOMEONE TAUGHT THEM!

like I know it can be related to all sorts of things like if you break an arm and can't play baseball, you teach it...but I'm saying more like teachers, as in the profession

I've taught math, and I agree that is an insulting quote. But even some of the students kept asking why I wanted to teach. I told them if we weren't here, they'd never learn what they need for their chosen professions.

I was never aware it was aimed at teachers of eduction. I thought it was aimed at persons that teach people other things such as for example how to work on cars and its

Those that can do. Those that can't teach

very true. if it weren't for teachers, no one would have any professional job...and society would wither. that's why they should get paid more...their work is valuable.
