Mother was a full blood German. Dad was a mixture of English, Irish, Scotland, Native American.

I'm Geechee! Or Gullah which ever is easier to remember.
We are the African Americans who settled on the East Coast shores and Islands; Like the Carolinas and Georgia and the islands of the coast of them. We are best known for preserving our African Culture.
You know that show Gullah Gullah Island, I watched all the time it doesn’t come on much anymore. Bummer.

I had a great-great-grandfather who came from Schwartzburg-Rudelstat (a little burg called Frankenhausen, which apparently no longer exists), but most of my forebears were English. My surname is Scottish, but my last known English ancestor emigrated from the south coast of England to Canada about 1850.
