I'd take D-Wade in a heartbeat as the top 3 greatest player IN THE MAKING. Lebron is all show and no game, a Jordan POSER with that stupid number 23 jersey he chose. Hey Lebron why don't you chose another number? Kobe is a BALLHOG AND A SELFISH PERSON, A WIFE CHEATER AND OH A BALLHOG SELFISH PLAYER. Who's with me! All hail on WOMENS RIGHTS! No man should get away with commiting a sex crime just because of celebrity status and money.

AMEN BROTHER! It's sickening how people forgive and forget with pro athletes. Even if he didn't rape the girl he was still cheating on his wife and worse he did it with a white girl! And now he is going around slapping white players because he knows if he did it to a black player they would kick his butt like Raja Bell did. Kobe is a loser and an Uncle Tom!

Well, I agree with you on the Lebron and Wade front. Wade has all the makings of a really good player (if he can stay healthy). Lebron is a bit overrated these days. i must admit, as far as marketing goes, the man is of jordan status: he's got sprite, gum, shoes. you name it, he's there. However, Kobe Bryant is a talented player. I never really liked him since his beginnings in the league but I also think his ability to play good basketball should not include his actions outside of the court. If you are going to judge a man on his role as husband, maybe Michael j. shouldnt be worshipped either (he had numerous affairs during his marriage) and they were publicized. I don't think he got away with the sex crime either. I truly believe that the girl may have been lying (people do anything to become famous) and even if she wasn't, he will have to live the rest of his life in the shadow of adultery/condom jokes. I'm sure he is suffering at home as well in public because of his bad choices. I do however think he should have gotten jail time or probation or something as well.

That was a pretty sweeping generalization of Kobe's apparent lack of discipline or morals, but I'd say you're right in assessing Kobe as a cheater (like Magic Johnson) and a ballhog (opposite of Magic Johnson).
All I know is I have a tall, stocky boy growing up who may have a sports career. I hope his basketball idols do not include Kobe, or Rasheed Wallace or any other thug. I will point out guys like Tim Duncan, Steve Nash, and older retired players like David Robinson and John Stockton before recommending overpaid street punks.

Kobe is developing, sadly, a reputation as a dirty player. His arm swings are totally inappropriate and he should be getting suspended longer. But I think we all forgive Kobe's sexual inconviences and focus on his present condition. He's an incredible player who needs not act the way he does.

I agree with USCGRL. How good D-Wade will be when Shaq retires? What about Pippen, Kevin McHale, and John Stockton and/or Karl Malone?

I agree with most of the stuff you said, the stuff I could actually understand. Athletes do get special treatment in court, but in Kobe's case, that girl was a little shady and SHE and her legal team were the ones who decided to give up on the case.

That women wasn't so innocent as they make her sound!
Get a life and find some other way to protest "women's rights" as you call them
Kobe is so talented and has an amazing knowledge of the game. He is the best. All the others are noting!
I'm sure we will all be calling your buddie D-wade a LOSER as soon as Shaq retires and the Heat go back to being a second class, worthless team
What do you think about that???!!!

How do you know the "facts" as you present them aren't in fact the other way around? Most teenage girls are well aware of what's is right and wrong with over-age men and under-age girls relations. They're taught and told that quite often by teachers, parents, their peers, newspapers and television news. Yet they do it anyway because of our upstanding and shining examples from the likes of Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie (The Simple Life), Lindsy Lohan, and Britney Spears of this generation who prject that lifestyle in the news headlines every day it seems. And yes they do have fantasies/infatuations with rich Celebs, Sport figures, and Music industry artists, and that can sometimes effect or cloud common sense decisions. But go after them anyway because they know they have money. Get them to do what they want them to do and then cry out to the world and willing to pay for interviews rag mags, and "entertainment news" shows to get a little money themselves out of it. Some will go to the length of black-mailing these public figures for even more to keep quiet about it.
And no I'm not trying to defend the likes of the Kobe's, Mike Tyson's, Rob Lowe's or the R. Kelly's of the world - just another point of view on the statement as presented. After all if name's are going to be tossed out there, let's name those who were all caught at it. And they being older and suppose to be "wiser" know that under-age relations are not only against the law, but they too should have to register as sex offenders much as the commoners do when they are caught and convicted of the same crime.
But this is a catch22 as well for them. How do they actually know that when they are told by these young women that they are indeed are "of age or older" that they aren't being set-up by opportunists? After all they too want to become some-what of a public figure in their own right and on their own terms not giving a damn who's reputation they hurt in the process. This seems to be the younger generations legacy for attention in the news. Not all or even most, just those few percentage of them. Just take a look at and keep in mind who they are "modeling" themselves after who are in the news as often as they can get themselves there.
btw: Entertainment imo is sitting through a show that is put together in a funny, well organised fashion. NOT GOSSIP OF WHAT THE H*LL IS GOING ON IN THE DAY AND LIFE OF THE CELEBRITY FIGURES - NO MATTER WHO IT IS. For Gripe sakes!! - Even my news channels are gossips now. Put the news back into news (meaning if there is an up-date on a celeb figure involved in those types of activities - then report it. But for my sake and millions of others - we don't care that Britney Spears has cut her hair off and she's now bald!! Take the celeb gossip shows off all my channels, and toss them back to the rag mags in a rack at the local grocery stores. If I want a good laugh - I'll purchase one as a stress release.

I agree, Kobe is an unconvicted rapist and a ball hog, whose weaknesses were exposed when Shaq left.

for the person who said he wants his son to be like john stockton,
you might want to reconsider that.
Stockton was one of the dirtiest players out there, he would create elbow jutting out picks. horrible stuff.
