Why is it, when a question is asked, and a person wants some logical answers to their dilemma, the Bible bashers come out and start quoting Bible Scriptures......The Wrath of God type stuff.....what is their purpose?.....what are they trying to achieve?

Sadbutrue...youre a hypocrite, first you talk about free speech then you want me to remove my question?.
Lastly ckgene and presleygirl, you are the people who give Christianity a bad name, you are not kind, you have judged me and didnt answer the question.......not good.

I wonder about that myself. Who knows. I am a devout Christian who is not a bible basher. I would explain such and such in a way you would understand, not by condemning you to hell or.......whatever. But I do get confronted by the other bible basher who do not believe in God or the bible but never read it and yet they dispute it.
It a two way street.

The only verse I quote on a regular basis is.. "Spare the Rod, Spoil the Child." this a very true statement and I'll continue to use until people realize that it's true. There is a lot of truth and daily life basis in the Scriptures, could it be that you're feeling guilty..that when people quote Scriptures that what they are saying is making you realize that what the it says is the truth. You know the old saying "The truth hurts." As for me I'm going to keep quoting the Scriptures.
BIBLE THUMPER AND PROUD!!!!! I will be until the day I die, my prayer is for each and everyone of you who do not realize the truth that are bad mouthing everyone, that you find God before you die, living in a lake if fire for all eternity does not seem like a walk in the park...as for me I will be in Heaven.

bible bashers are the guys who don't give a squat about the bible and therefore bash on bible thumping preachers like those
whats their purpose? i don't really know, perhaps some represed anger, perhaps a low self esteem syndrome that forbids them from taking credit for anything good that they have done and instead place that credit on some god or another because obviously it is gods work if they tied their shoes correctly, it had nothing to do with them and the fact that they are inteligent enough to tie their own shoes, perhaps its a need to spread their brainwasheddilusions to the rest of the world like a virus, after all, if i brainwash someone to follow me i am also going to brainwash them to brainwash other people into following me and so on and so forth till i have conquered a whole world of people by brainwashing just one

Some of these people wait until they have any opportunity and do whatever they think they have to do to get their opionion accepted as law. Religion is a guide, and your heart tells you the rest, good person, good values, positive, loving to self and others is more important and is the bibles guide not the pushing of influence on others. Well, this is Sunday. Listen, if you were as passionate about something as these people you'd probably try to twist the advice to head in that direction too. I know it's irritating, annoying, and most times inappropriate, but I welcome it to some extent. I welcome hearing from someone that's using Nichie, Cartier, ect... too. Let me try to put this in the simplest way I can (not that you need to hear it simple) A carpenter sees every problem as a nail! His solution, hammer it!

Its hard to sometimes feel good about ones self unless there is something inferior to compare to. Bible thumpers as you call them, feel good about themselves because they have a place in heaven waiting for them, cause your spot up there appearantly was withdrawn, and given to them. God is a good reason to criticize other peoples' misgivings. Like God really wants them doing that.

Bible bashers usually come from people who know ( NOT MUCH about it) heres one for you did you know the word (HOLY BIBLE ) actually means 66 little books..lot of people do not know this..anyway ignore the ones who like to bash the bible they are silly ignorant ones

they are hiding behind quoting the bible. I think that they fear reality. They all seem to say If you have a problem pray on it, read the bible, your answer will come to you, never mind facing it head on and dealing with it. Personally I like to deal with my problems and get rid of them, praying on them doesn't do me a bit of good.
