Hard to tell from that picture, get the pink out of the pic, close in on the wound, and focus better.

It could be a spider or any bug bite. It kind of looks like early ringworm too. Tick bites (Lyme's Disease) get that round rash too.

Were you out in the boonies recently where you would have gotten bitten? What is the local concern there?

Keep an eye out, go to ER if you have any problems, esp respiratory distress (asthma symptoms or swollen throat) and hives. These two together indicate severe allergic reaction. You may not know why you got this but you will need epinephrine before you can figure it out. If you feel any of this coming on, get 2 benadryl in you as fast as you can. (that is 50 mg total of diphenhydramine.) Other bad news to watch for: red streaks going away from the wound (blood poisoning), or extreme pain or itch, or if it gets a lot bigger or bumpier, or redder. (all signs of infection and may be invenomation).

Depending on how long you have had this, I would not want to be left alone in case you do go into allergic reaction. If it just happened, I would remain supervised, if you have had this for a few days...you probably don't need to be that vigilant.

Snagelfritz, I bet it was gross. I mean, it must have been really gross. :)
