Vote for the individual which reflects your own experiences and values most. One of the ways you can do this is study their policies on their campaign websites, and analyze their composure. Ask yourself: Would I be comfortable inviting this person to dinner?

Vote Democratic because we need Universal Health Care, and end to the Iraq War, worldwide reductions in Atomic weaponry, pay as you go financing for government and a renewed endless effort to bring government back to the people.
For example, Rural communities across America are hurting because their are no jobs for the children, the old cities are drying up and blowing away.
We need something like the CETA Program of the 1960's and 70's. CETA not only trained the kids and adults in trade schools and employment related education, but it also created opportunities for special sectors of the economy like tax deductions for housing and support of business.
In foreign policy, the United States needs to work with the world community United Nations, EU, NATO and so on to create a more peaceful world and a more united cooperation between all nations.
We need an entirely new program including rebuilding the military along modern designs and needs including real defense instead of offensive strategies and weaponry.
Protecting American business from unfair trade while at the same time building new bridges to Countries and economies around the globe.
We need new blood in the White House to work with the New blood in the Congress to build a New America beyond the history of WWII and the Cold War and a new program to reconnect to the American people.
Great Question!

You cannot vote for a political party, at least not in any election.

You can only vote for an individual candidate, who may or may not be (but probably is) a member of a poltical party.

Vote for the individual who you think will do the best job.

Jamie, you really need to decide on which party will further your needs and best interest, and to do this you need to read about the issues and laws and how they will impact your life. Just because someone says to vote for McCain, or vote for Obama, or vote Republican or vote Democratic, you must figure out for yourself, which individual and which party will preserve your ideals and beliefs. Good luck.

Don't vote based on party affiliation...research the candidates individually. You may then find that general ideas from one party or another appeal to you, but never stop researching and just picking someone because of their party.

If you're going to be a responsible citizen, it is your duty to investigate the different parties and the stands they take on issues that are important to you. Only after you've done that can you be educated enough to decide how you want your vote to count.

In my opinion, you shouldn't vote for a party. You should listen to each candidate and choose the one who most represents your values and who will address the issues you think are important.

If I were you I vote for the Democratic candidate. I want them in power when the next big terrorist attack comes to America. I wonder what they would do. Maybe ask the terrorist to stop attacking us haha. I really think they would do just as Bush did. Find out who was responsible and bomb the hell out of them.
