If I could swim better than a dog paddle, yes, I would jump in the rapids to save someone.

I honestly don't know, as much as I'm a very strong swimmer, rapids are extremely dangerous, I suppose been in that position would have you decide there and then.

Depends on the circumstances. For my lover I wouldn't think twice. For a stranger I would need a way to get out myself. Like a rope tied to me or something.

Hard to answer, since I can barely swim, and deep water scares me. Yet, my personality would be to do so. When I think about saving a life, I don't usually have fear, nor common sense regarding my safety.

No, I can't swim.
There would be another person in trouble if I jump in.

I'd throw them a life ring with a rope attached from land. 99.9% of the time, the drowning person usually manges to save themselves anyway, while the person who tried to save them dies trying to help.

not if it would put my life in danger- you just create extra problems for rescue services- it's one of the first rules of first aid- check your own safety. However I am a confident swimmer and would certainly do what I could to help

I don't think would be very comfortable with myself if I didn't try something. I think I'd jump.
