What happened? Did you have a pad? Was it scary?

Luckily I was at home...and I knew it was coming cause they prepared us for it in grade 4...I can't remember if I had a pad though...probably not.

It was a week after I turned 12, and I was in school. I just knew Id started-I cant explain it. I went to the bathroom and when I saw it I cried. I knew what it was and everything but I just felt upset. I tried to get a pad out of the machine but it wasn't working, so I folded up some toilet paper. My mum had had a hysterectomy so didnt have periods any more so we didnt have any pads at home and I was too embarrassed to tell my mum. I just used toilet paper all nihgt, but in the morning I told her. She went and asked our neighbour, how embarrassing! She was a nice woman but still....I still went to school and I was fine, just a bit shocked really. I coped quite well, although my second or third time it leaked onto my skirt in school and so I went to the office and asked to be sent home saying I was ill! My friend helped me cover it up though bu walking behind me, what would we girls do without our friends?!!

Erm.....think I was about 13 but I think it can be anywhere between 11 and 18. You dont get a full one either just a small bit of blood and no its not scary. I was excited til I realised you get them every month for the rest of your life lol. If anything ever gets stained with the blood you can always wash it out with some cold water and washing up liquid.

It was at my house. I told my Mom and she gave me a pad. And it wasn't scary.

13, at school but thankfully my friend had one and so i was spared the embarrasment. It wasn't scary but actually a bit exciting as it made me feel like a woman. ehhh if only i new how troublesome they were i doubt i would have been as excited lol.

I was 10 and I had no clue what it was.
I started back in the days where you had to wear a harness and safety pins.
Oops. I read "when" instead of "where". I was at school.

I was at home thankfully. I was 12 yrs
old and had to wear one of my mom's
pad's until I could get some smaller ones.

i got mine at home...it was exciting and scary....it happended like in Jan for the first time

At home, and I called out to my mom not knowing my big brother came home and he started laughing hysterically. Hes never let me live it down either.
