i've just started watching anime and am really getting into it. I've watched all of blood+, 20 episodes of death note and some of bleach. what other animes do you think i would like judging by my previous choices?

Humm, have you seen Night Head Genesis, Welcome to the NHK, Ergo Proxy, Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpuchou these are all new and are a darker style of anime.
Based off what you named, maybe you might like some of them.
Why does everyone always have to bring up Naruto?lol I watch sometimes too. im just saying.

A lot of excellent suggestions from the other answerers but here are some more you might want to check out:
Black cat, it's full of fight scenes but has nice touches of humour (you'll have to download or watch on youtube).
Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex - Darker, more involved and in the spirit of many anime slightly confusing in places but excellent.
Hellsing- an organisation set up to fight vampires.
Oh and I know others have suggested it but you really should try Naruto if you enjoyed Bleach, it has a very similar style to it somehow.

Ghost in the Shell and Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence. Forget GITS Stand alone complex. They took a fantastic idea, beautifully executed and turned it into a Saturday morning kids show. Pah!

(Bit of a slow burner but beautifully animated. nice to see something where it's not about big robots and teenage girls)

Everyone seems to like Naruto...and I'm one of them. It's like Bleach in a way, but it's unique in its own way.
Betterman is a short, thought-provoking sci-fi horror anime, kind of like Blood.
I would also recommend Fullmetal Alchemist and FLCL

two animes that are both really good and are on the more mature side (but not hentai!!) would be:
elfen lied and
serial experiments lain
elfen lied is much more fast paced and i have yet to meet someone who has seen it and didnt like it. :) careful watching it around kids, there's nudity, but done tastefully.
lain is a lot slower, and it seems to be a love-it or hate-it series. very heady... you really have to follow it to know wtf you're watching haha. i found it very good.
