The overall high school graduation rate with a regular diploma is between 80% and 83%, with the best data (NELS) showing an 82% rate. (from http://www.epi.org/content.cfm/book_grad_rates )

Yes, I have known several people who where high school drop outs. Some fared ok while others are stuck in low paying jobs. It really depends on ones drive on how they did. The ones that did better had a goal and went for it.

Anyone who stays in school graduates, that's the "benefit" of Dumbya's "retard-support" or "No Child Left Behind," the program that is designed to support other retards like he is by letting EVERYONE pass, no matter what grades. But graduating from high school or even college does not mean being educated, too - an American high-school or college graduate is less educated than any European 7th-grade kid. They catch up within the narrow domain of their specialization after a B.S./B.A. and higher, but in terms of general education and the ability to think creatively, they're centuries behind any country in the world.

I think about 75 as i hear about a lot of high school drop outs and when i look at API (Academic performance indecators) in the 600's I can assume that a lot of kids either drop out or flunk on purpose.

America starts with a capital letter, as do all sentences. You should watch that when asking questions about education. ;-)
