Yes it is, i am very early in my pregnancy and i get them all the time. and it's not really cramping but that is definately what it feels like, i was told that it is just from all of your tendents and muscles stretching. so don't worry about it just relax and when you get them try to lay down when you get them. that is if you can. it will be more comfortable for you! good luck and i hope this helps you out!

First, always consult your a physician concerning these things. We can only offer you what we claim to know.

I always read that you should call your doctor right away if you feel like you have those kinds of cramps while pregnant but I had them on and off several time throughout my last 2 months. They were nothing, just my body's way of getting ready for labour I guess. If you are early in your pregnancy it could be more serious. Call your doctor so she/he can schedule an apt. and probably an ultrasound. It's probably nothing.

Good luck and congratulations!

Cramps that are period-like are usually the uterus expanding. You can liken them to a pregnant-female's version of "growing pains". If they are impossibly painful, or don't cease at all, it's best to get it checked out. Also, if there's any bleeding that accompanies the cramping, get yourself to the doctor as soon as possible.

P.S. I had a lot of "cramping" when I was pregnant...especially with my second child.

it is normal to feel mild cramps early in your pregnancy. if they continue for a long period or get strong i would immediately get to a DR.
