Tell them that you care for both of them a great deal and you are sorry but you refuse to take sides and are remaining nutral. If they want your opinion then make sure its in front of both of them so that there is no room for misunderstanding. This will turn the tables back on the 2 mates and make them realise that this is between the two of them not the three of you. Take care Heather

here it goes.i love your thing by the way..all of it ..First, you separate the two ,make them beleive they need to calm the situation down a bit .you do this by bringing a message to the other and vice versa,(casually but some what descretely,ya know?)this will cause a more calm atmospher but still hold the emotion at it's peak.remember your in the middle for a reason,do not fear this reality, accept it.Second, you start changing the storeys up a little .bit by bit ,try and get them steamed up in a warrented twist of fate kind of way.in other words, no hatered ,but, bent passion(anger without the pain).bending the storey by invisioning the out come.(make the vision a passionet one).soon they will come to realize that there is no way, somethings weird all of a sudden.by this time they will have remembered what mom told them (always get the facts from the soarce before you judge anyone...)remember that truth?this will cause a butterfly effect, kapeish?the things people beleive when fired up is almost halarious, and you will be in control over all of it ..(how kool is that?)when they finnally realize that they have been spewing off through you they'l remember and finally converse ,then and only then will they see that all your additions to there take on things wre twisted in such a humourous manner that it was a pure act of good will .your intentions should hold humor.but with a serios look on your face,,trust me .make the additions unbeleivable (they'll beleive it cuz you'll fire them up first,ya know ,accually mentioning a small part of the truth to the other until there mad, then lay it on thick).this is the true way of a leader in such a way that it's soon to be a written method...

I understand where you are coming from but I have to tell you that there is really nothing you can do. The two people have to figure it out on their own. If you try to do anything you may end up choosing sides. Both of them may be right and wrong at the same time which makes it even harder. I understand that you don't want them to fight or anything but that's something that is out of your hands. If it has anything to do with you then you have to do the right thing but if it is just between the two you have to step back and let them handle it because if not you may become the target of their anger and you may end up losing the both of them. I know that it is hard to step back and watch what they once had slowly decrease but if it can be saved it will be. Whatever the situation is, you can only try to make them find some common ground to stand on but that is all. Be there for both of them but unless one is completely wrong and the other is completely right, don't choose sides. Be prepared to spend time with each one of them individually if they can't resolve this, but if the relationship is strong enough and the problem decreases instead of escalates, then it should be able to be resolved. Brace yourself for what may happen. Good Luck.

Lots of good advice here.
Sit on the fence and watch 'em fight between themselves, but it may come to a dilemma for you, which friend to stay with or dump?

Really depends on what the arguement was about in the first place and what your gut feeling is, you risk loosing both friends. Difficult decision, good luck.

sit on the fence, becsause sooner or later they'll make up, if you take sides it will seem like you like one more than the other... If I were you I would explain to them both that you don't want to take sides but will be there for both of them if they need you. Just make sure they know that when they're ready to sort things out you can help because you only want the best for them.. and dont be dragged in because if theyre your true friends they will realise its unfair on you!

Stay out of the middle. It is their job to work this out. You can tell them to get over themselves and work it out, but leave you out of it. Otherwise you are going to be taking a lot of crap from both of them because you are talking to the other. Trying to help them working out, but first you are going to have to let them calm down.

Just back out and don't get involved in any way. Tell them that you value them both and that you aren't going to get involved with their fighting.

just tell them you are friends with both of them, and will not pick sides, even if you feel if one is right, stay out of it other wise you may lose a friend. If they tried to talk about it with you just say you are not invovled, and stay silent.

Never side with one or the other. Just let them sort out there differences between them.

Try to stay out of it. Let them know they need to work this out on their own. And let them know you are taking yourself out of the middle.
