Why on earth would we want to do that? Nobody can control the price of oil. Futures are traded on the open market. You could buy futures contracts if you wanted.

Perhaps you should take an Econ 101 class.

The best answers to questions like this are the ones that say things like " Oil prices can't be fixed" or " Bush doesn't control the market "
that's someone speaking out of total naivety.. brainwashing or worse, someone making money from it..
One word... Enron, although not a unique situation it certainly crystallizes how deep the corruption goes... or how high up more accurately.

You clearly failed economics class. Talk to OPEC they set the price. Mainly because most of the crude oil comes from them
