I went to the Thursday/Friday Midnight showing. I absolutely didnt blink for 2 hours. I can't wait for it to come out on dvd now so I can add it to the collection. This movie gave me more respect for the use of a blue screen. And I wish more movies were shot w/ the sceme this movie was.( example:just the way the colors flow on screen when it was sunny out. but still had that dark effect) sorry i'm rambling. this movied just so rocked in so many ways.....

IMO it was just OK. With the techno/industrial music in the background I thought I was watching a two hour long NIN video.

Pros: some good battle scenes. intense. Very styalistic/artistic in the way it is presented

Cons: Way too many slow motion scenes. A few here and there are fine but it really slowed the movie down (literally)
A lot of plot holes. Not uncommon in action films but some were very blatant.
Overacting

It's worth a look but this is one of those movies where I think some people will get a certain amount of anticappointment from. You know, when you look forward to something soooo much that it is almost impossible for it to live up to expectations.

Just my opinon though, and you know what they say about those...

I was on the edge of my seat the entire movie. I went and saw it last night, on my anniversary, and I loved it. And I am a girl. Most movies make me cry, so I think the only downfall was that I didnt really have any feeling for the cast and their death, but the action scenes were great.

Did anyone notice that Xerxes, the Persian leader, looked like a bald Julia Roberts? It bothed me quite a bit.

the action and graphics were very well done and the music was really good and the sotry was alright since it really happened
the thing missing was that you didnt care what happend to most of the characters so there was no feeling in it

amazing. I LOVED IT.
Theres only 2 good comic movies and that is 300 and Sin City and both were made my Frank Miller. I liked 300 because it followed the graphic novel good and the blood was awsome. I went to go see it twice and loved it both times.
ADVICE
Go see the IMAX version its amazing.

thought it was awesome. The battle scenes (which was basically the though movie), the blood made it seem more realistic and would have sucked without it.
