If a homosexual couple wants to get married, they should be allowed to. They should have every right to ruin their life as much as the rest of us. Love is love, and as long as you are within the legal limits of the marriage laws, genders should play no role.

Though I do believe that civil unions would be sufficient, sufficiency and equality are not harmonious concepts. I think that two people regardless of gender should have the right to marry and quite frankly, the state should have very little to do with it. I believe that as long as there are clergymen willing to perform the ceremony the government should have no say-so, especially given the fact that marriage is a religious right. IT should be between the couple, the clergymen and God. I don't know why straight people get so involved in this! If they are so convinced that we'll burn in hell, why do they care? We just want to live equally! No bigotry, no discrimination, no hatred or violence, just equality. Maybe some of you would understand better if you had a few gay friends. Lol... besides, God loves the gays, they fill out the church choir :)

I believe that homosexuality is sinful, therefore I cannot condone gay marriage. I do not take issue with people who are gay. I realize that sexuality is very personal and each of us has the right to make his own choices, therefore I treat gay people with the kindness and respect that they deserve. It is just that their lifestyle is not allowed for Christians, which I profess to be.

I think gay marriage should be legal in every state. The fact that two people want to be one with God is fantastic. I've learned from my psychology classes that a person who is gay is so mainly because of actual biological differences between them and straight people, including hormonal and brain chemical differences. To me, that means, they are doing what is normal and natural to them, just like straight people are doing. They're not "going against" God or anyone. People need to realize that.

I think gay people should be able to get married, just like anyone else. Any argument otherwise seems to be based on religious beliefs.
Its just crazy to deny anyone the same rights as straight people.
If people want to spread their religious beliefs, try focusing on the positive aspects. It seems contradictory and judgmental to assert that homosexuality is wrong and there should be different standards for people who are different than you.

There's nothng wrong with gay marriage. All the BS from the fundies about it destroy marriage gets on my nerves. If they really want to look at whats destroying marriage, they need to look at the divorce rates amongst their congregations.

I guess it's just a way to treat all people equally & acknowledge that same sex relationship have always been part of life's tapestry--& always will be.

God says it's a no-no. That's all I need. However I try not to judge gay people, that's not my job, God will do that.
