I have a 5 gallon tank and three Betta fishes in it since 2 weeks. I have those Aqua Plus drops for my Marineland tank. Once I treat the water, how soon can I put the water in the tank with my fish? Do I need to wait ?

I have one male and two females. I cleaned it, and followed your instructions. Thank you all. They seem to be happier!

You can use the water immediately if you have added the Aqua Plus product. With three fish in a small 5 gallon tank, I would also suggest getting a master test kit to make sure your water quality stays good. Frequent 25% water changes may be necessary.

You might try the Aqua Betta.. it will be better for the 5 gallon tank.

I wait to add the water conditioner until the bucket is full, and I usually let it sit for about 5 minutes. Then I pour it into the tank.

If this is a new tank and you are putting ALL new water in I would let it sit for a day.

You probably already know.. but i'm just going to put it out there just in case.......

I'm assuming all your fish are male and that you have the 2 dividers that make the 5 gallon tanks into a 3 compartment tank?
It is extremely rare to have male betta's get along with eachother. It's even difficult to have the females get along.
And males and females should not be kept together unless they are breeding. The mating process is very violent and without the proper coverage of a hide most females will die from being left in a tank with a male.

The water conditioner companies usually suggest waiting an hour but I put my betta in immediately.

As soon as it's the same temp. as the tank water. Declor works instantly so the bottle says. ><>:)

You can place your fish in the water after 20 min. becaues they have to get used to the new habbitat.
