go to the gerber website... they have a great chart to go by based on what stage your baby is at.

Stage 2 food is really not very different that the stage 1. Stage 2 containers are larger, the food is still fiarly well pureed. When the Stage 1's don't seem to be filling baby up anymore, then try the stage 2.

Pretty much the only differences between stage 1 and 2 foods are the size of the containers and the variety and thickness of the foods. You'll know your baby is ready when he/she is consistently finishing whole jars of stage 1 and still wanting more. For my daughter it was about 5 months, but I have a little boy in my daycare that has a much bigger appetite and pretty much skipped stage 1 altogether.

The children I take care of (all 7) Only stayed on baby food (stage 1) for about 2-3 months. After that I gave them table food . They were about 3 months when they started baby food in the jars. They ate the cereals around the age of 2 1/2 months. It all depends on the baby though.
Dont give her nothing with whole milk or peanuts if you plan to give her table food. Also , no honey .....

Stage two? I am not familiar with this stage system.

However, here are the guidelines - introduce solid food at 6 months, be sure there are enough iron rich items; meats, poultry, fish, tofu, beans, egg yokes.

6 months - puree changing to mash as baby learns to swallow
9 months - add minced, grated and finely chopped foods.
9 months - 1 year - add diced and cubed food (small finger food)

What types of foods?

6 mts - cereal, vegetables, fruit (and of course breast milk or formula)
7 - 12 months - meats, poultry, fish, tofu, beans, eggs (yokes only until after 1 year), cheese, yogurt
9 months - cows milk

To avoid in the first year: honey, candy/junk food, hot drinks, punches, kool-aid and Gatorade, salt, pickles, artificial sweeteners and reduced calorie foods.

I don't know the stages you're talking about, but I hope this info helped.

point a million foodstuff is purely in littler jars and would not are available in as many varieties because of the fact the point 2, i used the point a million's from 6 months to eight months with my older son cuz i did no longer think of the 4 oz. in point 2's have been neccassary til he have been given older, i presumed the two.5 ounce jars have been the ideal length for him. Then while i ought to tell he began nevertheless desiring extra at approximately 8 months i began out making use of the point 2's. I blended it with rice cereal or toddler oatmeal as quickly as I first began giving it, and til i ended giving him rice cereal and toddler oatmeal around 10 months previous, cuz it grew to become into purely extra handy feeding him it unexpectedly as a replace of indivdully, plus he looked as though it want it extra effective than way, :) And the plastic ones says 2d ingredients, meaning point 2 ingredients. desire this enables, :D
