First, you multiply 3 and 6. Then you multiply √20 by √5.
3 X 6 = 18
√20 X √5 = √100

But, √100 = 10.

So you multiply 18 X 10 = 180.
180 is the answer.

It's 18√100 = 180. One really doesn't need to do any more!

Nevertheless, here are the principles involved in this one-line result:

3 x 16 = 18; also, √a x √b = √(ab), so √20 x √5 = √100, which of course equals 10.

Live long and prosper.

3*√20 = 3*√( 4*5) = 3*2*√5 = 6√5 Then
6*√5 * 6√5 = 6*6*√5*√5 = 36*5 = 180

the sqrt of 20 can be broken up into, sqrt of 4 Times the sqrt of 5.... so

3 * sqrt of 4 * sqrt of 5 * 6 sqrt 5 = 3 * 2 * sqrt 5 * 6 sqrt 5

6 sqrt 5 * 6 sqrt 5

36 * 5

180 is the answer!

(x ? 8y) - (2x ? 4y) is an identical element as +a million*(x ? 8y) + -a million*(2x ? 4y) so distribute the those into the brackets => x - 8y - 2x + 4y then assemble like words => x - 2x - 8y + 4y => -x - 4y so A = -a million and B = -4 keep in mind subtraction is purely addition of a unfavourable kind
