In the US, your major doesn't matter. You just have to fulfill the requirements for med schools.

You don't choose to become a pediatrician until the end of med school when you're applying for residencies. At that point, your college major is long in the past.

there isn't a specific major that you have to major in to become a pediatrician. most of the time, it depends on which grad school you want to apply for. you are not going to become a pediatrician graduating with only a bachelors.. (4year college) you must go to grad school and get a masters or something.

Check the website for grad schools where they offer pediatrics.. choose several schools and look at their admission requirements. there, you will find which courses they will require you to have, and in college, look for a major with those classes so that you don't have to take unncessary classes and waste your time.

most likely, you might want to major in biology, or biochemistry.... and possibly declare pre-med so that you can have a wide variety of career choices after you graduate if you change your mind.

hope this helped!
good luck
