I find it so confusing because there is Ronaldo the Brazilian and Cristiano Ronaldo the professional Portuguese player... But Man United.. so Cristiano it is...
He really might go anywhere, Real Madrid has a lot of the big guns but they are not the only team willing to pay the big bucks... I can't see Cristiano spending many years at Manchester if he is offered a bigger paycheck to go elsewhere and apparently the biggest paychecks are offered by the Spanish league.
after the World Cup incident with Rooney he really felt negative towards the team and he is a hot head at times and really makes decisions on emotion... If something happens like that again I bet he looks for a new club.

He should not go yet. He is still young and has a great career ahead of him at Man Utd. He should develop himself at Man Utd for another few years and prove to everyone that he is a strong player both mentality and physically.
If he leaves to Barca or Real Madrid now..it would be quite difficult for him to actually maintain his place..just take Beckham..Woodgate..Owen for example. Even Reyes...he was having a great spell at Arsenal and now I don't even if he exists at Real Madrid.
Ronaldo is and should be smart enough to know that, as a young player he should make full use of the opportunities present to him at Manchester United. At the end of the day, he gains experience and that will make him a wonderful player who will be able to adapt to any league football.

Barca has already stated they are no longer interested in him. They said they will make no major midfield signings this summer, at all. I haven't heard from Real Madrid lately either. I know C. Ronaldo is in talks with Man Utd right now to renegotiate his contract. Ronaldo has stated he wants to play in Spain "one day", but he's happy at the club he's at now after the contract talks started. I don't see him going anywhere for at least another 2-3 years.

Probably both. He likes Man U and life in the Prem right now, and he seems pleased with a contract extension. But he's also said that he would like to go to Spain, and I can't blame him, it suits his game perfectly. Lots chances to show off his moves. I hope he goes to Barca, I can't stand another great young player get sucked into the great black abyss that is Real Madrid.

I think he will stay.
With the problems both real and Barca have at the moment, I think he will remain. Plus theres word United and Ronaldo are in new contract talks.

Ronaldo will have a very loooooooonnnnnngggggggg........ career with ManU, only if he can maintain good terms with future managers.Ferguson won't let him go for sure & he might even advice the future managers to not let go of the key players & Ronaldo is cetainly the best.

Look for Christiano Ronaldo to finish his career in the USA. In the next 10 years MLS will out pay Spain. Look what we did for Beckham. If he produces, the other owners will start dropping big money for their Beckham rule player.
