Where do i go on my computer to find the system back or recovery disks. because i am going to install windows vista soon..before i do that i want to make my windows xp back up. so if u can tell me what place i need to go on my computer to do that??.. i know it takes abt 3 or 4 dvd's

i think the best way would be to use 3d party software like true image, you can make image backup, then split it to several files in order to fir the dvds you want. then burn images on them and all this using just one prog.

However, Microsoft backup utility does not help you in backing up the content on to the Disks(CDs/DVDs) directly.

However, you can take the backup on to the external Hard drive, or You can also take the backup on to the Hard drive in the computer and then burn the image on to the Disks.

You do not have a 'back-up location'. It is up to you to decide what files you are going to back-up and burn them onto a cd or dvd manually.
