The 2kg object is moving to the east, so we can consider it's speed like : v i m/s

where "i" means the positive x direction.

So in a collision we consider the linear momentum as constant, in other words, the momentum before the collision is equal to the momentum after the collision.

Before the collision : 2v + 3.0

After the collision : ( 2 + 3)*v'

then :

2v = 5v'

v' = 5/2*v

the direccion os the objects right after the collision is the same direction of "v", so the direction will be moving to the east.

why ?

because the 3kg object is on rest, so it doesnt' have speed.

Hope that might help you

i think of the unstoppable merchandise will wreck for the period of the immovable merchandise. it won't have the ability to be moved, yet not something suggested it won't have the ability to be broken via :D and if the unstobbable tension won't have the ability to be stopped... then it particularly is the only element that would ensue
