What ever happened to the oringinal Flipper?

I used to watch Flipper the dolphin, when i was a youngster when i was 6 years old, I loved that dolphin? The orininginal one, you know from 1968

Actually Flipper was a female dolphin named Suzy.

They call him Flipper, Flipper, faster than lightning,
No-one you see, is smarter than he,
And we know Flipper, lives in a world full of wonder,
Flying there-under, under the sea!

Everyone loves the king of the sea,
Ever so kind and gentle is he,
Tricks he will do when children appear,
And how they laugh when he's near!

They call him Flipper, Flipper, faster than lightning,
No-one you see, is smarter than he,
And we know Flipper, lives in a world full of wonder,
Flying there-under, under the sea!

Not sure but I would imagine Suzy has gone on to dolphin heaven since the average life span of a dolphin is 45 years in the wild, dolphins in captivity have a much shorter life expectancy. She was probably placed on one of the theme parks or Sea World after the series ended.

Flipper was a television series that ran from 1964 till 1967 on NBC. A television adaptation or spin-off from the 1963 movie Flipper, the show focused on widowed, young park ranger Porter Ricks (Brian Kelly) at fictitious "Coral Key Park & Marine Preserve" in southern Florida, his sons Sandy (Luke Halpin, who played the same role in the 1963 film) and "Bud" (Tommy Norden), and their pet dolphin Flipper.
