I have a link to the video but when I use sites like keepvid it will not download since the video is private. Does anyone have a way around this?

You won't be able to download videos on Youtube that are private or require age confirmation using third-party sites like http://keepvid.com or http://clipnabber.com - I haven't seen any fixes for this either.

The best way is to use TubeHunter which can downloads videos from over 20 video sharing webs. That's very easy to use and also very efficient.
