I thought that I was going to be one of the lucky ones. I went right up to about week 33, then BAM! They're all over my stomach now and I hate them, but I hear that cocoa butter will reduce their appearance when I'm not pregnant anymore, so I'm going to try that. I hope you're one of the lucky ones that dont get them... I wouldnt wish these upon anybody, except maybe a few celebrities. lol. j/k. Good luck with your pregnancy and God bless!

I'm due in a 4 days and I got my first little marks on my breasts actually because they were the first things to grow rapidly (which I think is the main cause) when I was 4 months. Then I got them on my hips around 7 months........don't worry, soooooo many people have them but you may not and they aren't that bad. Drinking at least 2 litres of water per day and gaining weight gradually helps keep them away longer. Congratulations on your baby and I wish you both the best!

Well, I had some little teeny ones at the bottom of my belly and on my hips before I got pregnant, from gaining and losing weight. So those ones just have kinda stretched a little more as my belly has gotten bigger. But, they say if you have little ones before you get pregnant that you can be pretty sure there are more to come... so I'm pretty sure my belly will look like a road map by the time I have my baby.

But it really doesn't bother me that much. My baby is worth it, and my hubby doesn't seem to mind. He still thinks I look gorgeous preggers.

Good luck!

I saw this one and it reminded me of my first pregnancy...I remember always being so thrilled that I didn't get any stretch marks! Then, when it came time to deliver, and the nurse pulled the mirror around for me, I saw more stretch marks on the bottom of my belly than I could count!

So, as you can probably guess, I don't know how far along I was when I started getting them. But I thought you'd get a laugh about that:)

Ok this is quite detailed! At about 4 months i developed 2 on each breast, 5 months i got 3 really bad ones on each hip, then one came on the bit of skin where my belly button was pierced. I thought they were the only ones i would get, then the little babe decided to be 8 days late, a couple of days before he was born they went crazy and loads came on my tummy and boobs. If only he'd been on time these might not have come!

With my first daughter I didnt get any and I was very proud of myself. I kept teasing my Mum as hers are horrible (all thanks to me).
But she got her own back when I was 6 months with my second daughter. It started out as a tiny red line, I refused to believe it was a stretch mark. But my Mum was dancing with joy and teasing me. About a week later I had to admit it was a stretch mark. I was actually quite lucky and all my stretch marks are really small and tiny. They are barely visible now. You have to look really hard and up close to see them.

I did use on of those pregnancy/stretch mark creams with my first but not with my second. I'm not actually sure whether it helped or not, or just that I was small with my first and got very big earlier with my second.

I made it soooo long without stretch marks, I really thought i would be one of the "lucky ones"...But no luck for me, 35 weeks and just got my first 2 :( But whatever, my hubby is the only one to see them and he's to blame anyway so :P Good Luck to you in your pregnancy.

i didnt get mine till i finally pick out a cute two piece bathng suit to show my tummy off then two weeks later they all came at once. I was about 5-6 months. But they say they are genetic that whether or not your mom had them is whether you could have them...the creams dont work.

Depending on the weight you gain, it is even quite possible that you will not have any! I was careful to keep my skin well moisturized during my pregnancy, and I only ended up with one tiny stretch mark. (which occurred during the seventh month).
