The FCC went totally "ga-ga" over the infamous "wardrobe malfunction" and everything in radio and tv changed because of it. The Spike network keeps running an ad depicting a man having his tooth kneed out by an opponent in the midst of a match. I'd like to know what's more harmful to viewers (especially the youths), a partially exposed nipple, or gratuitous violence in the name of sport?

Americans have never been happy with sex, but have no problem with violence.

The Spike network is a cable channel. You have to subscribe to it in order to receive it. The JJ fiasco occurred over the "open" networks that are free to any and all. They are "public" airwaves and are required to follow FCC regulations in order to maintain the license that they have to operate on the public airwaves.

And let's face it...nudity during family programming just wasn't appropriate. The Superbowl is a family tradition in many households. It was tasteless and tacky.

I find both offensive, but the Jackson thing turned what should have been a family-friendly event into a flash show. The entire "dance" number was inappropriate for kids to see- just a bunch of dry humping on stage.

We need more nipples in life, that's what I think. More nipple, less tooth kicking.
