Upgrades, Add-ons, extra services such as room service.

Think of Burger King - they make most of their money by getting their customers to pay more each visit. Get each customer to pay a bit more and that could be one way.

Or get more customers through the door - marketing, niche markets, sell more rooms all year round, themed events etc.

Depends on the sixe of the hotel and the resources available.

1) Increase the Revenue from existing customers ...
phone charges, mini-bars, room service, pay TV, other options (eg. Wireless Internet) ...

2) Increase no. of customers - repeat customer discounts, "2 for 1" mini-breaks, discounts for families (and mini-bars stocked with sweets & crisps :-) )


I suggest best revenue is from Business Users (these are typically not price sensitive) - focus on what 'extras' you can charge for ...
