The temperature would depend on how well the earth would absorb and store radiation and depend on the distance from the surrounding radiation sources. For example, if the earth absorbs and emits energy perfectly, which it doesn't, and was in it's current position, but the sun was removed, it would reach about 5 degrees kelvin(-450.67 Fahrenheit). If, however, it was moved far away from any stars or galaxies to the big nothing beyond, it would drop to about 2.7 Kelvin( -454.81 Fahrenheit). So I guess the point is is that it's to general a question with to many variables to answer with any precision, but I hope this helps.

Just figure out how much geothermal energy the Earth has right now. Then figure out how fast we would lose that geothermal energy to radiation. It's pretty straightforward. The answer is: cold.

there would be no earth with out the sun, so i guess it doesn't really matter
