If you we're living in the era where fortune cookies were handmade, maybe. However, since fortune cookies are now mass produced - you are not screwed. If your into the whole mythology, look at it like this - your future is not bounded by the constraints of others but is one so massive that no paper can contain the story of your life. So what will be will be, the element of suprise is at play.

We are very sorry about that . Please accept our most humble apologies. That rascal who we caught putting the fortunes in that said "HELP! I AM BEING HELD PRISONER IN A FORTUNE COOKY FACTORY!" escaped. As soon as we can locate and kidnap a suitable replacement, fortune cooky service should return to normal.
Your understanding and patience while these problems are resolved are much appreciated.

lol It just means you're lucky not to have to put up with some cheesy fortune.
If you need a fortune let me write you one that will be a bit deeper than any you'll find in a cookie...hmmmm

What is truth but a lie that all men come to believe?

No, the fortune-cookie machine ran out of paper slips and they didn't have time to put a little piece of paper in your cookie.

No, this just means that your future is mutable and subject to change based off of your actions. You are making your own fortune right now.

Maybe it was like a ''self serve'' kind of fortune. In other words, your future is up to you! (That is usually the case anyway!)

No - you went to a really cheap restaurant who saved money on buying the crapiest, cheapest cookies in the factory, actually they were in the bargain bin.

If there was one in there it would have said - change your choice of restaurant!

Ironic hey?
