One might consider that a frog has five lives, 1st as spawn in the egg mass, 2nd as a tadpole, 3rd when it's hind legs develop, 4th with the development of the front legs, and finally when it emerges from the water as a fully developed frog. Total of five lives.

Run over on road..
Snake,cats ect eat them...
Humans eat them..
