Which is a better major to go with: English or Journalism?
What are the main differences between them?
What schools have the best departments for either an English or Journalism major?
(Is it true that University of Georgia has one of the top English departments in the nation?)

It all depends on what you want to do with your degree. If you are interested in writing, etc. you should major in Journalism and minor in English.

And yes, it is true that UGA has one of the top programs in the nation. Another very, very good school for English or Journalism is Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama (they also have one of the top Teaching Programs in the nation). Georgia State University also has an excellent English and Journalism department.

Check with an admissions counselor at any of these (or any other school) and they will be able to answer any of your questions.

Best of luck with your decisions!!
